Lack of updates...

I just want to say that I'm sorry for the lack of updates lately and I want anyone to checking this blog to also know that I haven't given up on any of my stories. I just honestly haven't been in a mood to write due to things that are going on in real life.

Around this time of year (though it's usually earlier in the summer) it is a very stressful time for me, though I try to put up a front that everything is fine. Yesterday was my son's cardiologist appointment, where every year he gets an ultrasound and a couple of other tests done to his heart to check on a murmur that he has. Basically to see if it is getting better or worse. This year we found out that it has gotten a little better but apparently now there is a very small hole in his heart. Its just like the murmur which is
not bad enough where he has to restrict ativity or take medication but it needs to be monitored with yearly check ups like we have been doing.

Besides that I've been in excruciating pain since I grind my teeth when I sleep whenever I am stressed out. Last night I went to urgent care since I couldn't stand the pain anymore and none of the medicine I have was working or the one that does work makes me sick to my stomach. So I got perscribed some darvocet (which btw seems to be only taking the edge off of the pain right now), zofran, and an antibiotic (because the glands in my throat are swollen on the side that hurts, the Dr thought they might be infected contributing to the pain I am in) Fun, fun, fun.

The only good thing is that there is a more diffinative answer and some actual dates about what is going on with my husband's upcoming deployment.

  4. Thanks everyone. He will be offically deploying sometime in Sept. Originally they thought that they would be leaving in July (when he first left) and coming back sometime next year. But they were able to come back earlier this month which was really great, since he is Navy we don't get R&R's.

Its not normally like this when he has to go, usually everyone knows in advance a general (but not set) time that they will leave and come back. This one everything has really been up in the air until the last minute.

  6. I'm glad your son is doing well despite the new development with the hole.

Sorry to hear about hubby's deployment, I know all about that with my friends and their husbands (we live in a Navy town also) and even though my hubby is civil service he will sometimes have to be gone as well and it sucks. But as everyone else said, we will be here when you get back, you just will have lots to check up on hopefully ;)

Sending good thoughts to you and your family and hoping hubby stays safe while he's out.
